Product Manager

Core Role Summary

A key member of the Product and Technical team, acting as Product Champion, the PM will support the Head of Product Management with all product management related processes and procedures in all stages of the lifecycle of the Baumit product range, as well as conducting product, market and industry data, research and analysis, helping to shape the development and growth of Baumit UK.
To also provide support to Technical team as required, along with the wider Baumit UK team as a whole.

Job Description

• In depth knowledge of the Baumit product range, from correct specification through to correct application
• Able to discuss and recommend optimum Baumit product solutions dependent on each individual application site
• Be the first point of call for incoming telephone or in person, for product related customer enquiries
• Be seen as a Product Champion within the office; supporting all departments, especially the Customer Service/Sales Administration team
• Provide incoming enquiry cover for the Technical Specification team, as required
• To conduct any other duties in keeping with the position 

• Support the Product and Technical team with any product related queries.
• Support the Product Management, Sales, Marketing and Training teams with any new product launches and discontinuations.
• Conduct competitor desk research, sharing any market activity with key stakeholders.
• Conduct market and industry research, presenting recommendations based on the conclusions drawn.
• Support the Technical and Training teams with practical competitor product testing.
• Ensure the Product PDS/SDS/DoP documents are up to date and provide the Product team with support in the translation, creation and uploading documents onto the website.
• Support the Product team with the preparation of any industry board or certification document production and submission.
• Support the Product team with any industry events and exhibitions as required. 

• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new tasks with a desire for career progression

• Demonstrable successful Product Management experience, within a similar industry environment
• Ability to multi-task, with involvement within many key projects  
• Able to effectively prioritise workload and tasks 
• Of an analytical mind, with the ability to draw conclusions and present recommendations from recorded data
• Possess a proactive nature and be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Accomplished communicator, able to effectively communicate with peers and wider stakeholders at all levels of seniority
• Possess a great eye for detail with the ability to communicate with a high degree of accuracy 
• Possess a broad understanding of the Construction industry, ideally within the rendering, EWI or façades markets
• Show an interest in conducting relevant further education / gaining industry qualifications to enhance career and contribution to the business

35.5 hours p/w (excl. Lunch)
Monday - Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
Friday: 08:30 – 14:30
