NS House

The building is located on the outskirts of the city of Negotino, on a sloping terrain, angularly located on a street leading to the city. The location is topographically characterized by a steep slope of the terrain, oriented on the west side, towards the city center. This part of the suburb morphologically consists of single-family, detached houses, placed perpendicular to the fall of the terrain, formed in blocks with road infrastructure. The genesis of the program, as well as the shaping of the building, arises precisely from the orientation and fall of the terrain. Therefore, the premises of the house, cascading after the fall on the ground. In the first, more intimate part of the plot, at the highest point of the location, we have formed the bedrooms with the necessary toilets and kitchen on two levels, while the living room is at a lower point in front, open to the yard and city view. On the face of the plot we formed a yard, which cascades down to the street and is divided mainly into two parts. The first part is a paved yard with a pool, and is connected to the ground floor of the house with a small height difference that overcomes with a staircase to the pool, while the second part is a yard at street level and is connected to the basement of the house where we created space for more intimate living with one bedroom and bathroom. Around the perimeter of the yard, on the street, we place a retaining wall and protective greenery as a fence on the plot. The upper floor, where kids bedrooms are located, is connected to the roof terrace above the ground floor. The terrace around its perimeter is filled with green , while the rest is paved with a fenced roof opening above the living room. The spatial model as a whole is composed of three prominent horizontal cascades, from which a wider yard is formed on the front side, on the second cascade the living room with dining room is formed, while on the third cascade the intimate rooms are formed on two levels vertically. The shape of the house is characterized by prominent architectural plastic, composed of different elements, but with the same materiality, except for the hollow parts which are accentuated with wooden facade panels.
