The kindergarten consists of five individual buildings which are optimally connected to each other. These house the staff areas, multi-purpose rooms and the four group rooms. The access areas are designed as play areas that are dimensioned to provide spatial qualities and can also be used as an extension of the group rooms. The staggered pent roofs and the resulting differences in height mean that the structures of the individual group areas are clearly recognisable on the inside. This gives a sense of orientation and, above all, helps the children to identify with “their” part of the building. The children experience a clear, easily recognisable geometry. To provide light and ventilation in the rooms, skylight strips are integrated into the offset sections of the roofs between the group and functional rooms. The colour selection both on the façade and in the interior mirrors the clear structure of the functional areas and facilitates the easy orientation mentioned above.
