Compact house
The building was to be a modern barn. This assumption is met by the shape of the first floor with a gable roof and a slate-covered facade. The element of modernity is provided by the impressive, asymmetrical glazing of the garden facade and the sprawling ground floor with slanted walls. The white facade of the ground floor, in contrast to the dark slate on the first floor, makes the building look light despite having two floors and does not overwhelm the surroundings.
