BIN House
The house located in Warsaw, Poland, was designed for a family of four for whom art is an important element, as it is present in the investors' everyday professional life. The main architectural determinants are: respecting the existing large trees, placing the building within the northern boundaries of the plot and clearly opening the functions to its southern part. The resulting plot development method generated an irregular and dynamic projection. The investors' initial idea was to design a house with a flat roof. Unfortunately, the provisions of the local development plan required a pitched roof architecture, so a first floor with a gable roof was added to the ground floor, main part of the building. The wooden pavilion protrudes above the living room's glazing, which creates a natural terrace zone below, protected from excessive sunlight or rainfall. Turning the main ridge of the sloping roof in relation to the eaves line additionally intensified the dynamic composition of the ground floor. Some of the full walls of the house serve as a background for garden plants, creating a spectacular garden scenery.
